The International Conference on Health Humanities in Translation will be held in L'Aquila, in central-eastern Italy.
Sessions will take place at the Gran Sasso Science Institute.

The Gran Sasso Science Institute (GSSI) is an international PhD school and a center for research and higher education in the areas of Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science and Social Sciences.
Plenary sessions will be held in the auditorium located in the Rectorate.

From west
from Rome (Tiburtina station): no-stop buses can be taken to the city centre of L'Aquila, getting off at Terminal Collemaggio (timetables and tickets can be found on TUA*, Gaspari bus, Flixbus). The Terminal Collemaggio is close to the city centre (5 minutes walking).
from Leonardo Da Vinci International Airport (Rome - Fiumicino): no-stop buses can be taken to the west side of L'Aquila, getting off at the bus stop Amiternum (timetables and tickets can be found on Gaspari bus, Flixbus). To reach the city centre, urban buses are available to the Castle/Fontana luminosa - north side (line n.4), the Villa - south side (line n.2) and the Terminal Collemaggio (lines n.2 and n.4). Urban bus tickets can be found at bar/hotel My suite or bought through the app Drop Ticket (download from DropTicket).
from Rome Ciampino International Airport (Rome - Ciampino): no-stop buses can be taken to the west side of L'Aquila, getting off at the bus stop Amiternum (timetables and tickets can be found on Gaspari bus).
From east coast
from Giulianova/Teramo: several no-stop buses from Giulianova or Teramo to L'Aquila (bus stop Amiternum or Terminal Collemaggio) are availbale. Timetables and tickets can be found on TUA*, Gaspari bus, Flixbus.
from Ascoli Piceno: timetables and tickets of no-stop buses from Ascoli Piceno to L'Aquila (bus stop Amiternum) can be found on Flixbus website.
From north
from Florence: timetables and tickets of no-stop buses from Florence to L'Aquila (bus stop Amiternum) can be found on Flixbus website.
from Terni: timetables and tickets of no-stop buses from Terni to L'Aquila (bus stop Amiternum) can be found on Flixbus website.
From south

(From Terni/Rieti and Pescara) The city can be reached by train, getting off at the station L'Aquila. Tickets can be found at Trenitalia.com

By car
(from Rome, Giulianova/Teramo) the city centre can be easily reached by using the Highway A24 (Autostrada A24), exit L'Aquila Est.
(from Pescara) the city can be reached by using Highways A25 + A24 (Autostrade A24 e A25), exit L'Aquila Est; alternatively, the city can be reached by using the national route SS17 (Strada Statale 17).
(from north and south) the easiest way is to use highways moving south to north (and viceversa) on the west coast (Autostrada A1) or the east coast (Autostrada A14), than intercept Highway A24 (Autostrada A24)
For international speakers/authors: please note that a toll must be paid to use italian highways. The toll can be paid directly at the highway exit. It is not necessary to purchase a vignette.

by plane to Leonardo da Vinci International Airport (Rome - Fiumicino) + bus from the airport to L'Aquila (bus tickets can be found at Gaspari bus or at Flixbus)
by plane to Rome Ciampino International Airport (Rome - Ciampino) + bus from the airport to L'Aquila (bus tickets can be found at Gaspari bus)

From Bus stop Amiternum (bus stop for Flixbus and Gaspari bus)
The conference venue is 2.7 km far from the bus stop Amiternum. To reach the conference venue, participants can use the urban transport service (line n.2). See the map for the route of line n. 2.
Alternatively, participants can take line n.4 from the bus stop Amiternum to the Terminal Collemaggio, then walk to the conference venue.
